You have more authority than the Levitical priests of the Old Testament. They were of the old priesthood of mortal men. But you are of the greater and “forever” priesthood of Jesus! (Hebrews 7:8, 17) Not only that, you are a king-priest. (Revelation 1:6) In other words, you are a king as well! And as a king, your assessment is also binding because where the word of a king is, there is power! (Ecclesiastes 8:4)

My friend, this means that you have a double portion of assessment power. Therefore, boldly assess good things for your life, and it will be so for you!

Believer or Unbeliever

What was or who was John talking to when he wrote 1John 1:9. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins" and purify us from all unrighteousness.

Chapter 1 does not appear that John was speaking to believers since the beginning of the chapter does not address the readers as brothers or dear children. John may have been speaking to unbelievers; a group of gnostics who were trying to convince the brothers that Jesus didn't appear in the flesh. Chapter 1:3 indicates that John was talking to unbelievers since he states that "we proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowhip with us". The "us" in this passage are the brothers (believers) in the church. This will testify that John was speaking to those who had not yet accepted the teaching of Jesus Christ. He was inviting them to become believers so that they too, could have fellowship with the father. All of our sins have have been forgiven "past, present and future".

Another thought: John was speaking to believers who sin after they are saved. Believers can sin after they are saved, but this is were repentance applies. As believers we sin and upon revelation we are to repent and thank God for forgiving us prior to our comitting sin. God is faithful; we are not faithful...If Jesus said it is finish, well, it is finish. The price has been paid. We are righteous before God regardless as to what the world say (men; and believing men).
Paul never taught that we are to ask for forgiveness of sins and we shall be saved or have fellowship with God!

STRUGGLING; TOILING AND THE BLESSING

Many struggle and are unsuccessful because they're not where God has placed them. Proverbs 10:22. The blessing of the Lord makes rich and He adds no sorrow or toil with it.
This does not mean that when we are accomplishing God's call upon our lives we won't experience opposition; The enemy comes to "steal, kill, and destroy, these are the only reasons why he comes, so we have to be mindfull of his treats and coniving; get wisdom and knowledge of God; strengthen your relationship with Father God. These are components for discerning God's plan (s) for your life.

BELONGING

"Even the rich are hungry for love, for being cared for, for being wanted, for having someone to call their own."

REST

Matthew 11:28-30

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

Yoke: No chain, bondage, or oppression when we connect or harness our lives to Lord Jesus Christ; only rest is to be realized.
